Rallying in Queensland supports three championships and two series capturing competitors of all experience levels.
The Queensland Rally Championship is the leading rally championship conducted in Queensland. It is intended to identify the driver and co-driver that consistently display driving and teamwork capabilities at the highest level.
The Queensland 2WD Rally Championship is intended to identify the Driver and Co-Driver who consistently display driving and teamwork capabilities in 2WD vehicles (including Classic and Club Rally Cars).
The Queensland Junior Championship will be conducted in conjunction with each round of the Queensland Rally Championship. It is intended to identify the junior Driver and Co-Driver who consistently display exceptional competitive capabilities. These competitors do not have to be competing in the same car over the whole year. Drivers and Co-Drivers must not have reached the age of 26 years as at the start of the competition year.
The Clubman Rally Series allows regular competition between crews at a level below the Queensland State Championships and is intended to provide a lower cost competition environment.
The Queensland Novice Rally Series is the new developmental series introduced to encourage new competitors and provide them with suitable events to build their confidence and experience prior to progression to the Queensland Clubman Rally Series and later to the Queensland Rally Championship. Drivers and Co-Drivers are not restricted by age (provided they meet the Motorsport Australia Licence Requirements) but must demonstrate that they have entered no more than six rallies (including short course rallies) in their respective role prior to the start of the competition year.
